    Terms of Service

    Last updated: February 2026

    1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StockAccounter ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

    2. Description of Service

StockAccounter is a cloud-based platform for accounting professionals that automates the processing of securities broker transaction files into accounting journal entries. The Service includes file parsing, instrument resolution, portfolio tracking, journal generation, and team collaboration features.

    3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create a workspace by providing a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

    4. Workspaces and Team Members

Each account is associated with a workspace. Workspace administrators may invite team members via email. Administrators are responsible for managing their team's access and roles. Team members share access to all workspace data including clients, brokers, batches, and transactions.

    5. Supported Broker Systems and ERP Systems

The Service currently supports file imports from the following broker platforms: Nordnet and DNB, as well as a generic CSV format. Journal output is formatted for the following ERP systems: Tripletex, Mamut, PowerOffice Go, Fiken, and UniMicro. Support for additional systems may be added over time.

    6. Billing

The Service operates on a prepaid billing model:

    • New workspaces receive an initial balance upon signup.
    • Your balance is deducted when processing batches of transactions.
    • Additional funds can be added through the billing section of your workspace.
    • Deposits are non-refundable once consumed.
    • Unused funds remain in your workspace balance until used.
    • We reserve the right to modify pricing and transaction rates at any time. Changes will not affect funds already deposited.

    7. Subscription Plans

Workspaces operate under one of the following automation levels: Prepare, Book, Automate, or Custom. Each level may offer different features, processing capabilities, or transaction rates. Details and pricing are available within the platform.

    8. Data Accuracy and Disclaimer

    • We do not guarantee that parsed transaction data is error-free. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming transactions before generating journal entries.
    • Instrument resolution depends on third-party data availability and may require manual review for ambiguous matches.
    • Generated journal entries should be reviewed by a qualified accounting professional before being imported into your ERP system.
    • StockAccounter is a tool to assist accounting professionals and does not constitute financial or accounting advice.

    9. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
    • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other workspaces or user accounts
    • Upload files containing malicious code or content unrelated to securities transactions
    • Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
    • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
    • Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties

    10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is the intellectual property of StockAccounter. You retain ownership of the data you upload and generate through the Service.

    11. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.

    12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StockAccounter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to errors in parsed transactions, incorrect journal entries, or data loss. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

    13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your access to workspace data will cease, though we may retain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

    14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels.

    15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
